1 Corinthians 13
LOVE AMERICAN STYLE
What kind of love are we really looking for? Sugary sweet or brutally honest? Let the judges decide.

1 Corinthians 1:18
THE BOARD

In this techno-electronic-information age, the church sometimes forgets what it's all about. We can get caught up in all the bells and whistles of the new media or try to attract an audience, which is increasingly looking around for the best "show." We have good intentions, and we know what our mission is, but it is easy to forget. This sketch exaggerates in a humorous way the manner in which the church sometimes loses its focus.

In this sketch, two friends discuss the frustrations of attempting to keep their bodies in good shape and consider whether it is all worthwhile.

Holy Communion. This trip, he discovers that Emma has a new roommate, Marie -a real chatterbox. Pastor Witt looks for a place to put his small communion set in the crowded room and settles for the floor -the only open space he can find. A NIGHT ON THE TOWN
Too often we become so accustomed to our particular worship habits and customs, we forget what it must be like for a stranger who steps into our church to worship. We sometimes compound the anxiety a visitor normally feels by an unwillingness to adapt to guests or even help them understand.

TOGETHER ALL ALONE

Why do we tend to pull away from others when we need them the most? Why is it hard to admit need? What's the difference between self-sufficiency and good old determination? This sketch examines a father's tendency to suppress the pain of a bad situation and pull away from both those he needs and those who need him.

1 Corinthians 13
A WAY WITH PEOPLE
It's not often we're forced to think seriously about our selfishness and the effect it has on our relationships. But every once in a while, when our failures are too large to deny, we come face to face with the fact that we care more about ourselves than those around us. When we allow ourselves to operate on autopilot, we tend to use people instead of love them as Christ commanded. This sketch, in true mime style, exaggerates this tendency to mammoth proportions. But the message comes through loud and clear: don't use people for your own benefit or you'll face the consequences.

I WISH WE COULD TALK
When they first marry, most people picture a perfect relationship. They expect to know and be known on the deepest levels by the partner. They expect to share thoughts, fears, hopes, dreams, ideas, struggles. Too often, however, the grind of life and the perversity of the human heart become barriers to that intimate communication. This sketch illustrates the longing we all have for deeply satisfying relationships - with our spouse - and also with our Creator.
