Compassion
GOOD
SAMARITAN
Upon meeting a homeless man in a fast food restaurant, a theology student
is challenged by God's most basic command, "Love one another as I
have loved you." A retelling of the Good Samaritan story.
UNCOMMON
GROUND
Enzo approaches Ashley about working on a scene together for class and
reveals that he is a homosexual. At first Ashley is taken aback, but demonstrates
that whether or not she agrees with his lifestyle she can treat him with
love rather than condemnation.
THE
GREATEST GIFT
Paul and Shelley demonstrate the gift of kindness by inviting a suffering
couple to Christmas dinner.
TWAS
THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS
Marvin,
who simply wants to read the famous Christmas poem about Santa, is assaulted
by family members who have their own ideas of what the night before Christmas
should be like. In the end, no one quite knows the reason for the season.
OPEN
MY EYES LORD
Ordinary people are wrapped up in their own concerns and do not see the
needs around them until JESUS opens their eyes and brings them together
with "the least of these."
MISCONCEPTIONS
Someone around you is affected by infertility. You may not realize
it because those who are are hesitant to bring it up. As a result, they
suffer not only from infertility but from the loneliness that accompanies
it. This sketch is designed to open the topic, to encourage those in the
cycles of depression and hope, and to help people know how to approach
the topic with sensitivity.

SHELTERED BY LOVE
This sketch, which seems to be about death, is really
about the meaning of life. In Helen's story and in the underlying picture of a tree that
keeps its dead leaves all winter, there is a message about unconditional and sacrificial
love - both that of humans for each other and of God for us.
