IIN
A LITTLE WHILE...
As a young
woman struggles with her daily life, an unexpected letter from her father
arrives. In the letter, the dying man affirms his unconditional love for
his child, and prays that she find the mirror of that love with God the
father.

MARY AT THE FOOT OF THE CROSS
When we think
of Jesus' mother, it's often in the glowing Nativity scene:
a radiant young woman holding a swaddled baby. This script shows us quite
another Mary: a mother torn by agony as she watches her son die a horrible,
demeaning death. We get a chance to see both Jesus and Mary as "people"
rather than "biblical figures."

MISSING
PERSONS
A brother and a sister face an awkward reunion after their mother's funeral.

A MOTHER'S SON
As these three
intertwined monologues unfold, we realize we are watching three women
named Mary who have each lost a son. One is having trouble accepting that
her young son is dying. One is mourning the loss of her unborn son, who
died when she was 29 weeks pregnant. The third is the mother of Jesus,
watching her beloved son die. Through their stories, we feel the pain
of losing a child and gain a glimpse of the love the Father has for us
that he would sacrifice his only Son to save us.

DECISIONS, DECISIONS
To
show our human struggle with the question, Is this all there is?

AT LEAST YOU HAVE YOUR HEALTH
To

 SHELTERED BY LOVE
This sketch, which seems to be about
death, is really about the meaning of life. In Helen's story and in the
underlying picture of a tree that keeps its dead leaves all winter, there
is a message about unconditional and sacrificial love - both that of humans
for each other and of God for us.
ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL DAY
To
help the audience contemplate the need for forgiveness.

She truly loves her new husband, Trevor, but she's having trouble reconciling the fact that an important part of her died with Danny..
